What role do you play in your Industry?
- I am a a self taught artist creating works of afrofuturism and black culture art while simultaneously educating people on the topic of afrofuturism.
What year did you start in your industry?
- I started my artist journey in 2018
What Certifications, Degrees, Titles and Experience do you have in your industry?
- I am currently taking various courses on afrofuturism and art from the african diaspora.
Why & How did you get involved in your industry?
- I got in the art industry simply by falling in love with the Harlem Renaissance and Black Culture Movement as a child. In my early years i took art classes that were still being offered at school. Later on developing my own artistic skills on the side while pursing a degree in english literature.
What do you love most about your role in your industry?
- what I love most about the art industry is meeting different artist from various backgrounds as well as being a documentarian of the world.
What is the best advice you have received about how to impact your industry?
- 1. Be yourself 2. Don't chase trends 3. Create what's in your heart
What do you think are the top 3 things that help people excel in your industry?
- 1. Create even when you don't feel like it 2. Be consistent 3. Don't compare yourself to others
What encouragement would you give to those who are interested in being in your industry?
- Remember your why, and that is different from person to person. Remember the artist destination is the same but the journey is different. Remember that we are documentarians of the world, so go out and start documenting what you see and feel.
What do you think is the most important qualities for people to have in your industry?
- To have an aura about yourself. I believe that everyone has a certain aura and people gravitate to what feels right to them. Be encouraging and welcoming to other creatives.
What obstacles have you overcome, or are you overcoming to excel in your industry?
- I've overcame imposter syndrome which is crazy to admit. I'm currently overcoming the fear of failure, realizing that the only way to fail is to not try. I'm also currently overcoming stepping into my own artist identity with pride.
What accomplishments are you most proud of in your life?
- I am most proud of being a co-founder of the Southeast Art Team, I am also most proud of currently taking courses to further my education in the topics that I am passionate about.

- My Parents and my children
What advice would you give to the younger generation?
- stay focused and don't be afraid to try new things.
What do you want your legacy to be?
- I want my legacy to be one that's beautiful. A legacy that my parents and children can be proud of. I want my legacy to be a reflection of the times in which I grew up in as well as what's currently happening. I want it to be inspiring, motivating and encouraging.
