Imani Lige is a poet and founder of Mountain Youth Art. Imani has won numerous poetry competitions for her work. She creates art because it’s an outlet that allows her to channel her emotions creatively. She can be volatile at times, but sitting with a pencil and notebook and pour her “lyrical tirade” on to the paper helps calm her crashing waves.

Imani is opening doors for the youth in the area and highlighting them through MYA. She is going to do incredible things and we wish her well on her next chapter in college at Denver University.
