My Black Colorado Interview
What year are you in school, if you are in school.
I recently graduated from Western State Colorado University, where I received my bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.
What do you think others would say that they like the most about you?
I think people like that I am helpful, personable, and stand up for what I believe.
When you are not in a class, what are things you enjoy being involved with?
I enjoy rollerblading and taking my dog on hikes.
What is the best advice someone has given you recently?
If you are not uncomfortable, you’re not growing.
What is one thing you want to get better at.
I want to get better at cooking. I
What do you think is one piece of advice that you think adults need to hear, to help them connect with the younger generation better?
We’re not lazy, we’re growing up in an evolving world that is bringing about a new way of life. Don’t be afraid to tip your servers 20% even if the service is bad.
What accomplishments or awards are you most proud of?
I am a double-time RMAC champion in the 400m hurdles. I was nominated for Westen’s NCAA Woman of the Year for the 2019-2020 track and field year. I am most proud of these accomplishments because I ran track all my life and trained
What impact have you made in the community that you are most proud of?
Selected to join a team of twelve to implement a feasibility study and project plan for a start-up vodka distillery where a percentage of the profits go to a local non-profit organization. My group and I conducted market research and created a five-year business model, which was presented to investors and senior leaders and is still in a discussion today.
What do you think you want to do for a career and why?
I want to be a Marketing Specialist. I majored in marketing and love being able to express my ideas and creativity.
