Real Estate  Tips From a Pro

1) The best advice for my buyers is to stay within their means. You never want to be house-poor. Just because your lender says you can afford a $400K home, you may be more comfortable with a $350K home.  I encourage my sellers to price their homes to sell and make sure that it is show ready. You only get one chance to make a first impression. Some sellers like to overprice their homes to have room to negotiate, but at times they overprice themselves out of a sale.  The market will let you know what your home is worth.

2) Top 3 things that will bring your home value would be to have your home as updated as possible, (kitchen and bathrooms especially), make sure flooring does not have too much wear and tear and keep the home uncluttered, clean, and ready to view.

3)  For those who are entering into the real estate industry, let everyone you know about your new real estate career path.  Establish support in every area that you can think of. The more people who know you are in the real estate business, the more business will come your way. Plan ahead to have your personal finances intact. Try to make real estate your main (hopefully only) career.
