I'm Pastor Bernard Wesley, I have been producing gospel & jazz events for 35 years. I started with the United Negro College Fund producing dinner shows. Then at my family church, King Baptist Church in Denver Co. Started producing gospel concerts in the early eighties. I was involved in producing KBC's first gospel album with Philp Bailey from the group, Earth, Wind & Fire. Also Daryl Colley & Oliver Wells. From there I started bringing different jazz artists to Denver. Jonathan Butler, Gerald Albright, George Howard. From there I'm currently involved in bringing artists to the Black Arts Festival this year, and now Le Andria Johnson on September 29th at 7:00 PM in Aurora, at Restoration Christian Fellowship. https://www.traditionalsoundentertainment.com/

Will be hosting the Legendary singer, Le Andria Johnson Friday, September 29, 2023, in the Mile High City, Denver, at Restoration Christian Fellowship Church 15660, E. 6th Ave, one block east of Chambers & 6th Ave.

  • I got my start in 1993 with the United Negro College Fund

  • I have been producing & promoting gospel and jazz concerts & events in the Denver market for 35 years.

Why & How did you get involved in your industry?

  • I volunteered at the United Negro Fund and worked under the program director creating fundraising events. Dinner shows, television content.

What do you love most about your role in your industry?

  • Creating a quality event that gives people a new experience in music & entertainment.

What is the best advice you have received about how to impact your industry?

  • Give yourself enough time to see a new idea or vision come to life.

What do you think are the top 3 things that help people excel in your industry?

  • 1. Believe in yourself 2. Spend the time developing your talent. 3. Don't be afraid to fall.

What encouragement would you give to those who are interested in being in your industry?

  • Take the time to explore what your true gift is!

What do you think is the most important qualities for people to have in your industry?

  • Learn to live with the gift you have been given, don't try to be someone else.

What obstacles have you overcome, or are you overcoming to excel in your industry?

  • You are not always going to win, sometimes the losses are just as valuable.

What accomplishments are you most proud of in your life?

Who is is one person that has influenced your direction in life? Explain How.

  • There hasn't just been one person, but many people that have contributed to the process of my success.

  • Don't just follow what see but look in Wordly for direction.

  • Don't just say you Love people, but really Love them with the best of your service to others.
