What role do you play in your Industry?
  • Helping businesses to build stronger foundations that will keep them in business longer.

What year did you start in your industry?

  • I got started in 2000 as a business consultant, after seeing employers hiring high dollar consultants who didn't solve their problems and caused more damage to the company.

What Certifications, Degrees, Titles and Experience do you have in your industry?

  • I have over 21 years of experience creating strategies and distinctive designs.

Why & How did you get involved in your industry?

  • After my mom died and I went to the mortuary to design her services and the mortuary handed me all these templates. Which none of them represented who she was. I didn't want my moms last memories to be defined by a template. So, I created my own bereavement line and went back to the mortuary and became a design specialist. I designed for high-profile funerals. When I started looking at the market as a whole, I noticed how we are conditioned to accept templated processes and designs. We are constantly being told there is nothing special about us, that we are just like everyone else. I wanted to create a place where everything is custom crafted and that it truly represents the person or business.

What do you love most about your role in your industry?

  • Working with clients one-on-one and getting to know them. Helping them to make their dreams come true.

What is the best advice you have received about how to impact your industry?

  • Never stop pursuing what you are meant to be. If there is a will, there is a way. Don't let people kill your dreams.

  • Find a mentor or an agency that you can work with to really learn hands ons.

What obstacles have you overcome, or are you overcoming to excel in your industry?

  • I have restarted my business over several times due to sickness, financial challenges, and no employees.

What accomplishments are you most proud of in your life?

  • Being recognized as a self-taught designer by my industry for over 30 awards in best in design, print, strategy, and promotional items.

Who is is one person that has influenced your direction in life? Explain How.

  • My mother is my biggest influencer.

What advice would you give to the younger generation?

  • Never give up on your dreams. Never stop dreaming!

What do you want your legacy to be?

  • To be known as one of the best strategy firms around.

What else would you like people to know about you?

  • I dream big and I don't stop pursuing them no matter what the circumstances look like. Confess life into your words, not death.
