• I am the owner-operator of DJ Shield. DJ Shield is a minority veteran-owned business.

• All clean music

Why & How did you get involved in your industry?

• I have been evolved with music since I was a kid. I DJ back in the day and for re-engaged in 2017

What do you love most about your role in your industry?

• I love the excitement and joy my clients have thought the event.

What is the best advice you have received about how to impact your industry?

• Be the beat you and not a copy of someone else.

What do you think are the top 3 things that help people excel in your industry?

• Passion, purpose and love of what you do.

What encouragement would you give to those who are interested in being in your industry?

• Find a mentor, fi d out what things work best for you and keep loving the craft.

What do you think is the most important qualities for people to have in your industry?

• Be coachable and involved in the community.

What obstacles have you overcome, or are you overcoming to excel in your industry?

• I was told that only playing clean music would limit my growth. The truth is that it became my niche and I haven't loss business but instead I am in big demand for doing that.

What accomplishments are you most proud of in your life?

• My wife, children and the growth I have help to see in the community.

Who is is one person that has influenced your direction in life? Explain How.

• My mom. She old tell me not to be afraid to go and do what I felt passionate about and do let people scare me.

What advice would you give to the younger generation?

• Don't try to always go with society, go with your heart and your the knowledge you have.

What do you want your legacy to be?

• That I people would say I was the same when they me , when they saw me out and about. I wore no mask so you saw the real me.
