What role do you play in your Industry?

  • I am the owner and CEO of the company. I am also an Award-Winning Business Consultant and Mentor.

  • I started the company in 2018.

Why & How did you get involved in your industry?

  • The Write Easley, LLC was created to originally assist youth with tutoring. I started with tutoring grade school students who struggled in all subjects. We would meet at the city library in my hometown after school and would have sessions between 30 mins to one hour depending on the age. Over the years, more and more services and products were added; with me assisting college students with everything known to man. Being that I had already graduated with three degrees at that time - there was no subject I hadn’t taken and passed so it was easy to tutor college students. Eventually, I wanted to do even more and add even more services and that’s how we who we are today. After my father passed away on 11/27/20 - I strived to create this company and grow it into something even bigger. His surname is listed in the business name so this is not only his legacy that I am growing - it is also mine being that I have his surname. Being during a time when Covid-19 created a large pathway for entrepreneurship; I took a huge opening to create a gateway for all entrepreneurs. I love to be in charge. I don’t like to be micromanaged and anyone who knows me will tell you the same. I’ve always had this vision of being a partner at a law firm or at a very prestigious firm in a major city. Then I started to think; why be a partner when I can be the boss of it all? I knew I had the strength, knowledge, and drive to be a leader and that’s what drove me to entrepreneurship. There are so many entrepreneurs who are misled about how their businesses and organizations should be run and I want to offer them the knowledge that I have obtained. Why not use the knowledge I’ve obtained over the years and assist multiple individuals all over the world? That’s what entrepreneurship is all about; helping people with the services and products you offer

What do you love most about your role in your industry?

  • I just love to help my clients. I do everything in my power to show our clients how much we take pride in ensuring they are well taken care of. I know this is what my dad would do. I know this is the person he trained me to be. I treat them the way any business owner would want to be treated. They are sometimes just starting out so we hold their hands to ensure they are on the right path. My father's wisdom is now the wisdom I possess within this company. I share the same wisdom with our clients as well. This is how I continue to make it happen each and every day I wake up and assist our clients. 

What is the best advice you have received about how to impact your industry?

  • The best advice I have received is: Each One. Teach One. This advice has allowed me to become the award winning consultant that I am today.

What do you think are the top 3 things that help people excel in your industry?

  • I believe the top three things that help people excel in my industry is: 1. Knowledge 2. Patience 3. Optimism

What encouragement would you give to those who are interested in being in your industry?

  • I would say go for it. It’s not going to be easy but don’t let that stop you. Nothing good ever comes easily and you must work hard. You have to establish your target market but you must also have a mission and goals. If you feel like quitting; don’t. Don’t let this industry take over the greatness that you have to offer. Stand tall. Stand strong. Keep your eyes on the true prize.

What do you think is the most important qualities for people to have in your industry?

  • The most important qualities to possess in this industry is having a will to learn, a will to help, a will to explain, and a will to have more patience than you ever could have imagined.

What obstacles have you overcome, or are you overcoming to excel in your industry?

  • When I tell you I’ve faced so many obstacles; I’ve literally been through everything in the book. The death of my father has definitely been the largest obstacle I’ve every faced. His death changed me in more ways than one and it increased my drive. I’m so passionate about my work and knowing that he taught me so much; I use that knowledge and wisdom to further my work. It hasn’t be easy by far; I’ve lost a lot but gained even more overtime. I guess you can say the obstacles and awards sort of balance each other out. On top of losing my dad; I’ve lost friends, family members shied away, I’ve had to work harder to prove myself as an African American woman, and I’ve had to do it all while being a mother and a wife. More than I’d like to admit; my body tells me to slow down and take a break. Obstacles teach me just how strong I actually am. I wouldn’t be where I am today without enduring the toughest obstacles that have been thrown my way. I just seemly keep pushing, keep believing, and keep saying that failure is not an option.

What accomplishments are you most proud of in your life?

  • Definitely being able to help people in other countries. I mean having clients in all 50 states is major but adding 15 plus countries and 4 continents to that just makes me smile while saying it. Never in a million years did I believe I could do this as fast as I did. My dad always said any idea can be successful but you just have to be at the right place at the right time. I can definitely say timing played the biggest role in my success. Watching my clients grow with my help and watching them gain that funding from grant applications that we’ve written is just so rewarding. It’s bigger than anything I could ever asked for. I just want to continue being that resource for clients and give them what they are needing for their businesses and organizations. As long as I can continue offering my services; then this work will forever be rewarding.

Who is is one person that has influenced your direction in life? Explain How.

  • My dad definitely influenced my direction in my life. Even now, though he isn’t here anymore; he is still influencing me.

What advice would you give to the younger generation?

  • The advice I would give the younger generation is to wake up. The world waits for no one and opportunities will not wait either. If you have goals in place; reach them. If you have friends that do not want what you want in life; leave them. I want the younger generation to know that it’s okay to be alone. It’s okay to change your circle of friends to for your mental and intellectual standings. You may be surprised at how successful you become once you make those changes.

What do you want your legacy to be?

  • I want my legacy to be known that I was always a go getter. I always did what’s best for my family and for myself. I want to be known as a giver and not a taker. I don’t cheat, steal, scam, or lie. I am truthful and I treat everyone as I would want to be treated. I am just a lover of all things good and when I put my mind to it; I achieve it. No one is able to stand in my way.

What else would you like people to know about you?

  • I hope everyone knows that I’m human just like they are and I too make mistake. I never believe I’m perfect and I never believe that I know it all. I’m a believer and very religious. I have faith that those who become our clients are able to feel my vibe and will to help them. I hope clients know just how much we value them. I want them to know that we will do whatever in our power to ensure their experience is nothing shy of great. I am aware that not all clients will have a great experience because everyone has different expectations. Keeping this in mind; we try to make sure even those clients who may not like their experience, walk away knowing that we tried our best to right any wrongs. It’s our responsibility to ensure clients know that we care about them. We take ahold of their missions, visions, and goals and create something even larger. We set them up for success in all ways possible and this is what our clients are going to walk away knowing.
