y name is Asa G. Yancey, Jr., M.D. My undergraduate years were at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where I graduated Cum Laude B.Sc. My junior year abroad was at University of Edinburgh, Scotland. I graduated from Boston University School of Medicine in 1981. A Pediatric Internship year was in Phoenix, Arizona, July, 1981 to June, 1982.nnI fulfilled a National Health Service Corps obligation by practicing on the T’ohono O’odham (formerly Papago) Indian reservation in southern Arizona for three years followed by one year working in emergency rooms. My pediatric residency continued at University of Arizona, from July, 1986 to June, 1988. General Psychiatry training was at University of Colorado Health Science Center from July, 1988 to June, 1990. I completed my 2 years of Child and Adolescent fellowship training in June, 1992 also at U.C.H.S.C. Pediatric practice in the Rose Hospital Emergency Room began in June 1990, ending June, 2003 dedicating all professional time to Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
