What role do you play in your Industry?

  • We play an essential role in the beauty industry. With a combined 7+ years experience in this industry, we know the wants and needs of our clients.

What year did you start in your industry?

  • As the owner I started in 2015, other staff have been working since 2019.

What Certifications, Degrees, Titles and Experience do you have in your industry?

  • All staff are certified and licensed in Colorado under DORA requirements.

Why & How did you get involved in your industry?

  • From a young age I loved beauty. I always knew I wanted to provide services to make people feel and look their best.

What do you love most about your role in your industry?

  • I love that the beauty industry is always changing and I always have the opportunity to grow with it.

What is the best advice you have received about how to impact your industry?

  • The best advice I have received was to always remember to put your clients first. Without clients, there would be no business.

What do you think are the top 3 things that help people excel in your industry?

  • If you want to be successful in this industry you need to make sure you are always: 1. Knowledgeable in your field 2. Up to date with all trainings and certifications 3. Always listening to what the client actually wants

What encouragement would you give to those who are interested in being in your industry?

  • If you want to be in this industry, just know it takes time. Get your schooling and training done, and then find someone to intern under for experience.

What do you think is the most important qualities for people to have in your industry?

  • A will to succeed and a strong work ethic are both musts in this industry if you want to be successful.

What obstacles have you overcome, or are you overcoming to excel in your industry?

  • This is industry is flooded with people trying to make something of themselves. I have had to constantly learn new techniques and change different aspects of my business over the years to compete with some of the best. Adapting is the key to exceling.

What accomplishments are you most proud of in your life?

  • Overcoming traumatic circumstances early in my adult life has given me the strength to become a dedicated and strong mother to my two daughters as well as a productive and successful business woman. Those are my two greatest accomplishments.

Who is is one person that has influenced your direction in life? Explain How.

  • My mother is one of the most influential people in my life. She has taught me to follow in her footsteps and be strong willed, independent, and confident in all aspects of my life.

What advice would you give to the younger generation?

  • Life is hard, but don't give up. Stay determined to be successful in a time where no one else will believe in you the way you do.

What do you want your legacy to be?

  • I want my legacy to speak for itself. A successful black woman who rose to the top of her industry by being the very best.
